Laser Range Finders and Sports Optics
Laser technology and optics are increasingly used in tools for monitoring, locating, mapping and measuring distances, speed, volumes and height, just to mention few; for all this reasons the optical components must deliver highly accurate vision over long distances.
Since 1957 we have been producing professional optical components (and coatings) for measurement tools able to provide precise field data collection for a wide range of industries; at the Online Technology Meeting organized by EPIC about Laser Range Finders and Sports Optics we are discussing about precision optical components used in sports.
Sport Optics
Angelo Fasoli, Technical and Sales Manager of Tecnottica Consonni, and the other speakers invited at the EPIC event are illustrating how optic can be applied to sports, such as
- laser rangefinder and distance measurements used in golf, tennis and formula 1;
- riflescopes, spotting scopes and thermal imaging camera used in hunting and precision shooting and archery;
- binoculars and monoculars in bird watching;
- trail camera for wildlife habitats mapping and tactical games.
